Passionflower ain't got nothing on this...
101 Frightening Ice Cream Flavours Some of these are actually rather civilised -- for example Ricotta, Wasabi and Sweet Potato icecream all sound ok to me. (Though perhaps not in combination.) On the other hand the sheer WTFery of flavours such as Collagen Lemon (with real chunks of chewy collagen, apparently!), Deep Sea Water, Indian Curry and Natural Viagra flavour icecreams would be hard to resist also. The picture of Salad Icecream made me laugh -- you can see cucumber slices and capsicum pieces embedded in it.

And my absolute unfavourite: Raw Horseflesh Icecream. :-S

Meanwhile, I have been tagged!
1. Do you like blue cheese?
Yes, especially with quince paste and/or a nice glass of dessert wine.

2. Have you ever smoked?
Only passive-aggressive smoking. (ie, whilst glaring and muttering imprecations at the smokers polluting my airspace.)

3. Do you own a gun?
Wow. This meme obviously originated in the USA...

4. What flavour do you add to your drink at Sonic?
Apparently Sonic is an iced-tea chain. While I've never been there, I used to like lychee-flavoured bubble tea... (but without the bubbles. those things are spawn of Satan. possibly literally.)

5. Do you get nervous before doctor appointments?
Nope.

6. What do you think of hot dogs?
A suitable vehicle for ketchup consumption. (I have a serious sauce problem. Right now I'm eating Spicy Jamaican Jerk Sauce on... a spoon. Admittedly there's no food around to eat it on, but...)

7. Favourite Christmas movie?
Hmm... can't say I categorise movies into "Christmas" and "not-Christmas" movies. Does The Lion King count?

8. What do you prefer to drink in the morning?
Tea.

9. Can you do push ups?
I could probably manage two, so I suppose the answer is yes...

10. Do you know the secret to a happy life?
If I did, I wouldn't keep it secret!

11. What's your favourite piece of jewellery?
I don't wear very much jewellery, except a ring that Lee made me.

12. Favourite hobby?
Reading, or music.

13. Song you're listening to right now?
Nothing right now...

14. Do you have A.D.D.?
No.

15. What's one trait you do not like about yourself?
Procrastination.

16. Middle name?
Wai Ling

17. Name 3 thoughts at this exact moment?
1) I should really stop eating sauce
2) maybe I need more tea
3) my head hurts

18. Name 3 things you bought yesterday?
I didn't buy anything yesterday; I didn't go shopping yesterday; in fact I didn't get out of bed yesterday! Except, you know, to do things like go to the toilet and make cups of tea and toasted hot cross buns.

19. Name 3 drinks you regularly drink?
Water, tea, wine.

20. Current worry?
OMG so much work to do why am I procrastinating by doing LJ memes instead????

21. Current hate right now?
Too much to do and not enough time to do it (as well as all the other things I want to do. like post to LJ)

22. Favourite place to be?
The beach, or bed.

23. How did you bring in the New Year?
I arrived in Melbourne just in time to see fireworks and have a glass of champagne with my parents.

24. Where would you like to go?
Japan, totally. I shall have an icecream tasting party and invite all of you!

25. Name four people who will complete this:
Most of my f-list already has.

26. Do you own slippers?
No.

27. Last magazine you read?
I don't even remember. If I'd managed to get to the doctor's today, it would've been something trashy in their waiting room. Damn them and their unexpected changing locations and opening hours!

28. Do you like sleeping on satin sheets?
Yes, but not under satin quilts -- it's too slippery.

29. Can you whistle?
About five notes. Enough for Hot Cross Buns but not Three Blind Mice!

30. Favourite colour?
Blue.

31. Would you be a pirate?
Ar!

32. What songs do you sing in the shower in the morning?
I'm usually too busy getting washed as quick as possible! Sometimes bits of choir stuff, though.

33. Favourite girl's name?
I like lots of names, eg Miranda, Katherine, Stephanie (and dislike lots, eg Gladys, Taylah, Sheila) but can't say I have a favourite.

34. Favourite boy's name?
Again, no single favourite. I like classic stuff for boys, though -- Stephen, James, William, that sort of thing.

35. What's in your pocket right now?
No pockets. Girls' clothes never have enough pockets! In fact, my new shiny red coat has fake pockets that are sewn shut. What's with that?

36. Last thing that made you laugh?
Salad Icecream, see above.

37. Best bed sheets as a child?
I always liked my zoo duvet cover.

38. Worst injury you've ever had?
Broken leg when I was 13.

39. Do you love where you live?
Yes (inner-city, close to everything including work) and no (far away from Melbourne and my friends there).

40. Cat lover or dog lover?
Both!

41. Who is your loudest friend?
[info]splatchtrock. "Inside voice, dear..."

42. How many fish do you have?
Lots! The exact number varies depending on which of them have had babies recently...

43. Does someone have a crush on you?
I think I'm too old for that sort of thing now...

44. What is your favourite television show?
If I can only pick one? House, out of what's currently on. Firefly, for possibly bestest show ever.

45. What is your favourite book(s)?
There are too many to list! A very small selection might include anything by Guy Gavriel Kay, the three Robin Hobb Fool trilogies, TH White's The Once and Future King, the Kushiel series by Jacqueline Carey (more the first trilogy than the second), several books by Diana Wynne Jones, the Narnia series... no, I'm giving up now, it's far too hard! Even a short and non-inclusive list leaves out far too much to be fair.

46. What is your favourite sweetie?
At the moment, M&S Rocky Road mini-bites. We went through three boxes of them in about two days last week. I'm too fickle to pick just one and stick with it, though. In general I like chewy things better than boiled sweets... like Jelly Dinosaurs. M&S pomegranate and cranberry gummies are also of the nom. And ooh, Bundaberg Ginger Bears!

47. Favourite sports team?
*shrug*

48. What song do you want played at your funeral?
Not something I've ever considered, and not something that's going to make a lot of difference to me either way...

49???
Nope, I don't know where this question is either...

50. What was the first thing you thought of when you woke up?
Mmmm... bed. I think I'll go back to sle -- zzzzz

I went to an icecream place in northern NSW over the weekend- they prided themselves on their beer flavoured gelato. I didn't try it, although now I'm regretting that.

Actually, I drooled at the thought of stilton flavoured icecream. Most of the cheese flavoured ice creams could be good too.

They also have wasabi ice cream at Charmaines, which I couldn't resist trying. It's not something I'd want to have in large quantities, but it was interesting to try, and I did like it.

I'm going to make a huge assumption that the list maker is from the US, where they put sugar in everything, and can't hack the thought of savoury mixed with sweet things. I think that done properly, most of those flavours could come out quite well. Tomato ice cream for instance, with the right mixture of savoury and sweet, could be nice. Any of those which were more ice mixed with the flavour, rather than frozen milk, could also be good.

Mmm, I think Stilton icecream would be yummy! I've had the Passionflower wasabi icecream, which is fab (wasabi's kind of sweet anyway, so it works), but not the Charmaine's one. My favourite Charmaine's flavours are gingerbread, lemon cheesecake and of course, chocolate chilli! :-9

Quite a few of the flavours on the list sounded ok to me too. But not horseflesh... o_O

I'm veggo, so I naturally think that anything with the word 'flesh' in it would be unpleasant :)

No, in my experience you're never too old for crushes.

Maybe not too old to have them myself, but I reckon I'm too old for people to have them on me... :/

I don't think so. I've had schoolgirl crushes on people much older than you.

All that happens as you get older is the average age of the people who have crushes on you also increases.
That is my experience.
